Mast unstepping?
Are you trucking, going through a canal, or just storing? The unstepping procedure can only be done with an experienced crew and some heavy equipment. Even my marina crew has to work hard to do this without damaging the boat or mast. This is not something you would want to tackle yourself. If you are trucking then a cradle should not be required. The ones I am familiar with have the spar racks along the side of the trailer. If for storage or canal transit then you will want a cradle. I plan to go through the Erie Canal and will need to cradle a 52' mast on a 37' boat. My plan is to get some 4" or 6" PVC and glue together a 40' section. This will be light enough to experiment with. I figure four cradle points: across the bow pulpit, one at the mast partners, one just forward of companionway hatch, and one at the stern. But I will have to customize these to my boat just as I think you will have to. Maybe someone has templates for your exact boat. Good luck.
