Another question: (I really appreciate previous answers!) My mast does not have the square end bracket on it's bottom which attaches to the bracket fastened to the deck (to make the hinge). Where can I buy this part?
The Mac's I'm familiar with use a U shaped except squared off on the bottom mast step. The style mast step you seem to be talking about is a much stronger one. They can be gotten from Dwyer mast co. I think they can be found at www.dwyermastco.com but will check and update.
Justin,Where did you get your organizer plate? Dwyer Mast has a two hole each side and a four whole each side models. I like the one you have, three holes each side, looks perfect.
It's not mine. I Googled for examples and came up with this one. I can't remember where I found it. I'll try to retrace my steps. It's something I'd like to add someday when I re-bed my deck plate. I could see running my halyard aft.
No problem Justin. It's something I'd like to do as well, but haven't got around to yet. I went to some of the local boat supply shops and they don't have these. The only place so far I've seen them is Dwyer Mast Co.
Thanks Justin!I haven't seen this site yet. Even though it's for Catalina's, looks like there are a lot of parts that will work just as well on our MAC's. I saw the 3 hole each side Mast Step Halyard Plate for $35.95 Something else that caught my eye was the Pop Top Power Lift Kit for $129.95. I wonder if that would work on our pop tops.
