I installed the mast boot a month or so ago and it works great. I know I've seen complaints about water in the cabin and I think I've finally solved it. It included the mast boot, silcone sealant in the mast track, and weather stripping around the sail cover collar and mast boot collar. Sounds like a lot - but everything only took about 15 minutes including the mast boot snap installation. Below is a link - not sure if this forum will convert it to a html ink or not...

I have the same problem. My primary water intrusion is from wind driven water between the boot and the deck. I looked at Paul's submission but it lacked details about how to accomplish the fix. Please, supply more details. Thanks in advance

Sorry guys - these new forum search capabilities are really poor and seem to miss keywords altogether - so i just saw these questions.

I actually purchased the boot from hunter and they shipped the boot, snaps, and pop rivets with it. All you had to do is line it up drill and pop rivet the snaps in place. Took < 15 min. I also added some weather stripping to it.

Since this post, however, i noticed I am still getting a trickle of water down the mast. Man that water is hydraulic and will find a way in. I would say this was a 98% solution however. I am contemplating putting an additional piece of weather stripping directly above the boot to deter any random leakage.

I've attached a few photos of the job...
