Thanks to all who made suggestions in procuring a new mast base. Found one from Wichard in Rhode Island.
So since the mast broke two days prior to a long planned sail on Lake Superior with two buddies I initially was going to reluctantly cancel the trip, but decided to make the trip on the H260 without the mast. Taking it off was relatively easy. Won’t be able to sail but at least we are out on the water having fun. Should be interesting, good practice for when in 90 and want to be out on the water but too old to monkey with the rig.
