Mast and boom wax?

Hi. I have my mast down and was wondering if there might be a product to enhance its beauty and that will last.

I tried woody wax and it certainly looks good but wondering about its staying power.

I use Polytrol. It cleans and protects aluminium (or aluminum, if you prefer). It was recommended to me by a good marine surveyor. TomTom Fenton, V2977
