Yesterday, I sailed down to Menemsha where I just took a look in:
the wind had died but I hoped it would come up again and didn't feel like stowing the main just to go in for a quick look. With the fast current running in the inlet and the tight spaces inside, i didn't want to go in with sail up.
I then ran up to West Chop and into Vineyard Haven under power as close to these impressive cliffs as I could. I looked at these for all the years I lived in Woods Hole but never got this close to them.
I'd like to know the story of this chimney out all by itself in a hollow:
