Hi! I am the recently new owner of a 1966 Mariner in need of much....mast, rigging, rudder, etc. I think I will buy a bare extrusion and build it myself - I am a rigger by trade. My current need is a rig plan/drawing detailing rigging lengths and at least a basic outline of the rudder to build to. Any ideas? Many thanks Rob zara2@earthlink.net

Mariner Rig

Rob - First call should be to Stuart Marine in Rockport, Maine. They still have the Mariner in production, though with a new deck casting. Word on the street is that they have plans for the older boats, though. I'd start there. If not, perhaps Rudy Nickerson at D and R Marine could help you. He's an old O'day employee and has lots of materials. His number is in the archive. Search on Rudy. Justin - O'day Owners' Web

Mariner Rigging

I have a 1967 Mariner that needs lots of care. Fortunately it came with the original instruction booklet. I am in the process of refinishing (rebuilding) the rudder and the centerboard (cast iron 165 lbs model). I could make a copy of the instruction booklet and an outline of the rudder. My email is ATHLC@msn.com.
