Hi! I am the recently new owner of a 1966 Mariner in need of much....mast, rigging, rudder, etc. My current need is a rig plan/drawing detailing rigging lengths and at least a basic outline of the rudder to build to. Any ideas? Also, I have had no luck making any contacts within the class assoc. I found on the 'net. Many thanks Rob zara2@earthlink.net

Hopefully this will get you started

Rob- Where are you located? I know of a Mariner in RI that can be had for $500. Maybe you could salvage the parts from it. Look around. There are more Mariners rotting on lawns than in the water. I have a 1976 and I have the manuals. However, there is no detailed information like you ask for. It offers more useless information like 'make sure you get close to the porti-potti in high winds' and all about the self bailing pit. You can try asking specific questions here on this board or on the TSBB (www.trailersailor.com) where there is excellent small boat discussion. You did not have luck at www.usmariner.org? Try again. Join and buy the racing book. It comes quick. There is rigging information in there. Not so much about what type and what size but rather how much tension etc. Stuart Marine (ME) still makes the Mariner. Give them a call for parts. 207.594.5515 D&R Products (Assonet, MA) also sell older O'Day parts. Call Ruby Nickerson at 508-644-3001. After 5 years of collecting information, I can assure you that this site and the info above is about your only chance. I really do not have much dimensional infomation but feel free to ask any questions. Best Regards, Craig craig@110.net
