After successfully dropping my Mariner centerboard, I had it sandblasted and primed (gratis) with a two part epoxy industrial paint called F-150. Unfortunately a brown cast is coming through in several spots where the primer either wasn't thick enough, or I didn't top coat it soon enough. I will probably have the job done again (and pay for it!). My questions are: What is an appropriate paint to use between the epoxy primer undercoat and the ablative bottom paint top coat? What difference will it make if it's protected, but unfaired?
