Appreciate that, but surveyors are busy due to the hot boat market so options are good. You might most of the surveyors are scheduled out a number of weeks as it is in the San Francisco Bay and California Delta and unless you find one local they will charge travel time so suggest calling around. That is what I did on a recent boat purchase to complete the sale within the 3 week purchase agreement schedule to avoid losing the boat.

What do you need, a survey for insurance purposes? Or to do an in-depth evaluation of the boat? Or both? Are you in the stages of ready to buy or looking to see if you want to go there?

I just had a boat surveyed out on Long Island. So I've a bit of knowledge of a couple surveyors in the New York region but really it would be good to know where you are at with the survey.

I haven't got a surveyor for you.
I've looked at all the 30' sailboats I could find and don't see a good match. But that's what makes a horserace. Please let us know what happens when you are ready.

Andy has done survey work for me including being involved in an insurance claim. I removed the boat from the first yard and took it to CT. so I don't remember if he did the final claim. He may be retired. If so, or, if he doesn't want to travel to Nyack, he may be able to give you a name. I would not Rx the guy he used to work for whom I think is surely retired and will not travel.
