Once again, I need to replace my stereo. I would like to get one that sounds great with Bose speakers and is as waterproof as possible. I am looking at the Standard Horizon MST660. If anyone has one of these, please let me know what you think of its sound. Also, I would be open to suggestions for a better choice.

water proof box

You should have took at look at what I did a couple of weeks ago, I bought one of those water proof boxes with a tinted front. The stereo is not marine but I don't have to open the box to use it as has a remote that I can control it from the cockpit, works great. I used Rockford Fosgate speakers mounted in the cabin liner. I have some pictures I can send you if you want.

one thing to look for

One thing that I would look for on any stereo that you install is an auxiliary input jack on the back of the unit. You want to be able to plug in your ipod to the stereo. You can hard wire it both inside and outside. Much better than CDs.
