Marine Air - Water pump not turning on?

The AC / Sea water pump works just fine (well almost).

If the pump IS NOT connected to the circuit board and directly to 120 it works great along with the AC Comp.

If the pump IS connected to the circuit board where it gets its power it will not turn on. Even though the AC comp. turns on.

Any thoughts (HELP).

Some pump controls have a separate pump relay (so it can be turned on before the compressor) and some drive the pump from the compressor relay. You either have a bad pump relay, a bad connection at the circuit board, or a bad wire that has chafed through somewhere between the pump and the board. Check the circuit board terminals where the pump connects .. you should see 115V between those terminals when the compressor is on. If not, the open is between the outlet connector and the relay input.. if you have volts, the open is in the wire or connections between the terminals and the pump.. Happy Hunting.. Ya welcome, drtsr1. My Marine Air controls got zapped by lightning a few years back and I replaced the originals with that system from Micro Air.

Thanks after some tracing I found the control board replay was bad, I talk to tech and I move the pump wire to the compressor lead and it works just fine, he also indicated that I should not have to replace unless I add a second unit.

Thanks again.... Now on to the frig compressor
