I am looking for marina recommendations or experiences for a marina stay in either the Acapulco area or the north sea of cortez. I am in La Paz right now but plan to move in May and spend 4-6 months in another part of the west coast of MX.

Monty - As you probably know, the options are pretty limited in the Sea of Cortez. Let me tell you what I know. There is a small marina in Santa Rosalia north of you there in La Paz. From what I recall it has about 20 slips. In my area here in San Carlos, you have several options. There are two marinas in San Carlos although Marina San Carlos is generally full. I keep my yacht in Marina Real which is on the outskirts of San Carlos and better protected. In Guaymas, just S of San Carlos, there is a new marina and I understand they are pricing their slips pretty aggressively to fill them up. No great bargains in MX anymore but I know it's cheaper here then in La Paz. Ken
