Hi: Would like to know where/how to obtain a manual for a 15'O'day sailboat. Secondly the hull has two drain plugs...the upper one is to drain the inside/seating area...the lower drain I assume is to drain any water that accumulates in the annulas between the inside and outside hull where the floatation material is located....is that the case? Do you know age of boat?

Is this an O'Day 15 from the early 1970's, or the 1980's model? If she is one of the later boats, she will have a Hull I.D. Number on the outside of the transom, the last 2 numbers in that HIN will be the model year. If you boat is one of the earlier boats and was built after about October 1972, there will be a Hull I.D. Number on the outside of the transom, if built prior to that time O'Day would have assigned 2 numbers to the boat, a Hull # and A Class#. These are engraved or stamped on a metal plate that is located inside the boat, usually on the forward flotation tank or the aft end of the cockpit. Rudy at D&R has some owners manual copies, not sure if he has one for either of the 15' models. I may have a copy of the early model (1970's) O'DAY 15, I'll check.
