manual bilge pump inside cabin

Has anyone installed a manual bilge pump down in the cabin? I have a big
one installed in the cockpit and a small electric one on a float switch,
but I'm thinking of participating in the Digby-Bass Harbor race this
year, which I believe requires ORC category 3 equipment. According to
the ORC (in addition to lots of other safety gear), boats must have two
permanently installed manual bilge pumps (both with their own hoses and
outfalls), one of which is below. I'm 250 miles now from my Vega, which
is covered for the winter anyway, so I can't get in to see if somehow a
pump can be installed under the sink or stove area and somehow snake fat
hoses around my (oversize) Westerbeke 13 engine. Has anyone done this?
Thanks,
Tom
