I am in the process of buying a Manson Supreme and am wondering about the sizing. The change from a 25lb to a 35lb is at a 35ft boat. I was unsuccessful in contacting Manson. With my 34 being a bit of a light weight(11500) and under 35 ft, is the 25lb a safe pick or should I go for safety and order the 35lb. I live in the PNW with all kinds of different sea beds and some anchorages aren't as protected as I would like. Of course you know I am wondering as the price difference is quite a bit. Comments please. Cheers, Ian

The 35 would be a great anchor for your boat. The 25 would work but would be a tad on the light side if you got into a blow..

I think we bought the 35 lb for our 356. It is sized accurately. We don't drag once its in. There are times it can skip along the bottom if the bow of the boat gets pushed to leeward -this can be a problem with the windage of the 356. I think its just that the anchor is moving too fast to set. We almost always set in sand/mud in shelter anchorages. We have 50' of chain. Our boat is listed at 12,900 lbs displacement.
I would probably Rx the 35 for you.

Go with the 35. We have an O'day 35, same displacement as yours and that's the anchor we bought and we love it. It can be a bear to break free, but that's just fine by me.
