Finally starting to tick some things off my to-do list now that I can work outside again:
I finished grinding/sanding both my mast step and boom in preparation for painting. I also was able to Alodine the bare aluminum on those parts, now that I can use the hose again without fear of freeing. Tomorrow I will be priming!
Since the grinder was out I got to the small crack in the rudder. I dug down to healthy foam and now will be looking for a good window of dry weather to complete fiberglass patching of said rudder.
Oh, grinders work great on old cabin foam too....
Wet-vac'd all remaining water in the bilge. Still a bit of ice at the bottom of the bilge that I just cracked with a screwdriver and picked-up by hand. The few remaining leaks have been identified (last year) and will be dealt with this early summer.
That's it for today. It's nice to get some quality work done outside for a change!
