I've checked the archives on canvas work and have found many that made a bimini. However, has anyone made a dodger? Any helpfull hints, recomendations, etc..James-
My dodger project should not be too intimidating since I have an old Island Nautical to use as a pattern. And I did make my own bimini from a Sailrite kit. Go to the Photo Forum and search on "dodger". There you will find Dave Underwood's project photos. Also a Sailrite kit.
I have a 1982 27' Hunter, with full coaming, perfect for hard and soft dodgers, my dodger is partial, like a wind shield, with removable slide out lexan windows, along the top edge is an extrusion, that accepts a 3/8" dia line sewed into the bimini, the partial dodger is made of 3/8" thk. Starboard, white, total cost $160,00 + $60.00 for bimini.
Send me your addresses, i'll send you details fro hard dodger, from my book, I haven't yet learned how to use e-mail and sent photo's to a website as yet.
who ever writes to me, add Your capabilities on submitting photos to this web site, and I'll send that person the photos and detailed illustrations of my partial hard dodger, and you can do it for me
