Hey there!
Thanks for all of your help so far.
I am planning on building a small galley and was wondering if anyone has made up water tanks out of cheaper materials. I am thinking making up something from those 6 gallon blue water tanks you see at walmart? Anyone done something like this?
Thanks!

Look at 5 gallon collapsible water tank/bladders. I've used them for camping and they are fairly inexpensive (around $20), the material is thick enough to resist abrasion and puncture but still flexible enough that it can conform to an odd shaped space. They are so cheap you don't have to worry about a number of issues, just replace it if it becomes damaged.

I use a campers collapsible water jug, a plastic tub and a one burner propane stove placed on the table when I need it. Most people are removing those slide out galleys on their C22's. They take up too much need space.

I hear you guys, I am not replacing the slide out, actually building a way more useful galley. Something with a hand pump and sink that is pumped into the discharge and a place to keep the cooler so it wont fall over upon heel. I was thinking that the collapsible jug would be great, but how do I hook it up to the hose for the hand pump faucet and have it vent properly?

Just shooting for idea.

I am planning on cutting two holes so that two of the one burner propane stoves will slide down in ;) We hardely ever use the settee so taking it up with more useful galley wouldn't be an issue. Plus we would still have access to the storage on that side under the cockpit.

The collapsible water jug just will have a cap with a valve for dispensing the water and an air vent on top somewhere. You should be able to take off the included cap/valve combo and replace it with a PVC screw on fitting from the hardware store, but that's only if the thread pitch is the same. Worst case you could probably just clamp on some tubing to the valve nipple. For the air vent, just make sure when you stow the filled bladder that the valve is up and you can open it and close it when required.

Scratch what I said about the air vents... duh, a collapsible jug does not need an air vent since it squeezes and collapses as the water is used. Anyway, here is a couple Amazon links to the 'standard' jugs that people have been using for camping for years. The valves are the weak link on these.
The last link is for the 5 gal solar shower, I think this is a better option since it already comes with a tube rather than a spigot/valve... might work out better for your intended purpose.

Water showers bags are aggravating to carry full. The cap just snaps on and not to tightly I might add. Sure wish they screwed on.

I bought a 10 gallon poly sprayer. It fits perfectly under the starboard berth storage area. The cap is large enough to wipe it out and the motor cuts out automatically when not spraying. I wired mine in through a cutoff switch with fuse and added a sprayer like used in kitchen sinks. I use it in addition to a poly 2 gallon garden sprayer and 8 or more Clorox bottles on long trips. To conserve water I use the garden sprayer to rinse dishes etc.. and the electric to fill cups, tea kettle, thermos or cooking pots. The Clorox bottles store in storage area just forward of the potty. I leave the cover off that compartment (slide forward) until someone sleeps there. Allows easy access to jugs. Here is a pic of the 10 gallon sprayer with motor. I have done many mods just click on my profile name Dgreen1991.

Try a 5 gallon plastic jug with a solar bag tube on it, just set it on the cabin top when you want to use it and it will flow with gravity. Keep a couple more of the jugs on board and when you get low just switch the tubing to it.
