I have to replace my stove in my Hunter 22. It is by Kenyon and I am sure that they don't make this partucular stove anymore. I hear everyone singing the praises of Origo stoves but Origo doesn't make a stove that will fit in the space where the current stove is. Who else makes marine single burner stoves? FYI: The space that I need to find a stove to fit into is 8" by 8" by 4" high If I can't find a stove that will fit into those dimensions, I will have to modify my boat to fit an Origo. This means making the current space about 1" wider and 1" or so higher. If I do that I will have to re-frame the area with new Teake. Where could I buy teak to make the door and the frame for the stove (if I have to modify things)? I would perfer to find a replacement that fits where the old stove is for obvious reasons. Then again, I wouldn't mind having my stove fixed but I don't know if there is anywhere to send the stove. I have contacted Kenyon but I haven't heard anything back from them in 4 days.

Check the camping stores

You might find a small backpacking stove to be a perfect fit. Look in some of the online camping/outdoor supply shops.

coleman single burner

i have an h23 with the origo single burner. what i did was modify my "galley" by cutting a hole through the place where the origo sits and putting a storage area below. this lets me put the coleman mounted on its bottle and have the burner at aproximately the same place as the origo burner was. i still have the origo and use it but the coleman was intended as a back-up. i don't think i have a pic with the coleman in place but i'll see if i can find and attach a pic of my galley mod and maybe you'll be able to envision how it sets up. (don't know if this galley arrangement is the same as the h22 tho so YMMV) btw, i have a spare single burner that i was going to ebay but if you think something like this would work for you its yours for the shipping costs.

Check chinese grocery store

A friend clued me in to the fact that chinese grocery store sell the butane stove that are sold in west marine and given away with Hunters. The only difference i can tell is that they only cost about $20 instead of a lot more at west marine.

The Final Decision, Kenyon Express II (good deal)

I couldn't find a stove that I liked and would fit into the cabinet that the origial stove was sitting. That left me with a hard decision...do I modify the existing cabinet to fit an Origo, or do I just buy an external stove and turn the old stove drawer into a silverware drawer. I thought about this situation a long time and then the anwer came to me when I was speaking with Kenyon. There are some Kenyon Express II stoves that are scratch and dent. The sales person for Kenyon advised me that there was a small problem with the paint on the inside of the stove and the paint bubbled up. Because of this they are selling these stoves as scratch and dent. This means that a stove that is normally $65.00 is being sold for $15. Needless to say, in compairing the price of $15 to the $169.00 Origo stove, and the extra expense of modifying the stove cabinet to fit to Origo, I went for the $15 stove. One of the other reasons that I have decided on this is because I don't use my stove as a primary means of cooking things. My wife and I prefer ceral on the boat when we are at ancor (we spend more times going to different docks) and I have a propaine grill that I use for most of the serious cooking. Besides, if I cook a meal when I am at a dock, I have a microwave also (not bad for a 22 foot hunter). If anyone else is interested in the Kenyon Express Stove contact Kenyon as soon as possible. When I spoke with them they were going to list the stoves on e-bay. If anyone has any questions for me feel free to e-mail me.
