I am looking for parts for the mainsheet traveler. I had to replace the control line blocks on the traveler car and in the process one of the screws broke off. I'm looking to replace the traveler car. Does anyone know of (in order of preference): 1. a source for replacement parts for the traveler system 2. an alternate traveler car that will fit the track 3. a suitable replacement traveler system to replace the entire system Thanks

Just did it , works great

I just replaced my Traveller with a Harken kit, High track, about 5 feet , had to give it a slight bend as the companion way cover is slightly bent, used the miid range car with double sheve ends (8-1 purchase) used a tripple block with fiddle for the main sheet, with a secondary block for small trim changes. West marine catalog shows how. Works GREAT

I just purchased a Garhauer traveler for my 1983 H30. It ran about $275 complete. The bolt holes lined up with the existing ones, so the instalation was a breeze. It took forever to get it, but I ordered right in the middle of the sail shows so it was in their peak rush.

Can you tell me what model you used? I've looked at their catalog online and they have quite a number of configurations. Thanks

Harken Model

Mid range traveler car 1624, double control blocks 1515, double sheave 1632 (if you don't have a cam cleat use 1633),high beam track 1618, If you are racing, you may want the windward sheeting car model 1636 ( you then don't need the double control blocks (1515)or car (1634) and can just run with the double sheave (1632) track (1618) and windward car (1636)The way I bent the track was to put the middle of the track on a brick, jacked up my car and put the ends of the track under each wheel, I lowered the car on to the track and the bend was just enough to compensate for the bend in the cabin top. My main sheet used Harken model 2617, I attached a padeye on the other side of the cam bolts, and attached 2615, and 352 on the bitter end of the sheet, this gives me two control lines for my main, the smaller is for small adjustments
