In our Hunter 356 we are having discussion about how to handle the mainsheet efficient when sailing single-handed. For the moment you need to take a "walk" and leave the seering weel to make larger adjustments. Do anyone have the same discussions. One sloution might be to mount a winch on the flat surface just ahead of the engine control panel in the cockpit where the helmsman easely can manage the winch. This can probably be made by dismounting the panel.
Looking forward to any ideas

I have Not tried this,

My friend, when sailing solo in his jeanneau, takes his main sheet around the main winch and then to the winward jib winch, that way it is within reach...
I hope his method works on the 356
