On my 28.5, I need to replace the wheels on the mainsheet traveller car. It's the original equipment - an RWO car. I removed the track ends but there's no way I can see to slide the car off. I think I may need to remove the track. About four fifths of the track is thru-bolted. I don't know about the remaining fifth since there's no exit point. Does anyone know the trick?

I did a couple of years ago.

I did on my Legend37 to replace the endcaps. All of the screws were thru-bolted, which made it easier. Each thru-bolt was doused with lifecaulk to prevent water permiation. The trick after removing the bolts is to have a putty knife at the ready to break the seal. Then thoroughly clean the traveller of all lifecaulk. I took mine home overnight and cleaned it with a fine steel wool. You will notice that the traveller stock had a pre-bent camber in it. So when replacing it, start bolting in the center and work outboard while alternating sides. (Remove it in the opposite fasion). This allows the traveller to be bent and align the holes. Good Luck. It was an easy job, but tedious in ensuring that it was done correctly.
