Does anyone know where to get additional slides for attachment of the mainsail to the mast? Also, is there a way to lubricate the slides so that raising the main is smoother and less noisy? Thanks.
most chandleries or discount chains such as West Marine will carry the slides. So should any sailmaker. Keep the track or groove for the slides clean. Don't lubricate, though, because the lubricant can pick up lots of dirt, which will defeat the purpose.
I recently ( 2 seasons ago ) began using sail kote, from west marine, it makes a world of difference on our h23, have so far noticed no build up . it can be used on lots of things, it is pricey but a little goes a long way , give it a try ,good luck Mike B
You can get them from any sailmaker. If you mail me I can help as I work for Doyle Sails and I can hook you up.Cheers,Tac Bostontac_boston@doylesails.com
