Just bought a 1980 33' Cherubini... needs a lot of work... thanks to everyone who has posted. How do you cleat off your outhaul on the main? I've rigged everything through the boom OK (I have the Kenyon boom) and now the outhaul exits the bottom of the gooseneck coming from a sheave. How is yours cleated? I'm thinking about installing one or two aluminum clam cleats along the bottom centerline of the boom. The outhaul line would come from the gooseneck, and run aft along the boom to the cleat(s). This is how I've rigged smaller boats, and it seemed to work well. I'm not expecting to adjust the outhaul very much-- I use other sail controls more-- and being in San Francisco I just normally need it very tight anyway. Thanks for your help! Chris...................

You have it right

Yes, that is the way mine is rigged. There is a normal cleat rather than a clam. What you are doing will work. You will enjoy the 33 she is a fine sailing boat.
