My newly purchased 1985 Mac 25 is missing the lettering on the mainsail. I can see an outline where the "M" once existed. Any suggestions on where/how to get new letters/numbers to put on the sail? Besides the "M", should I have anything else on the sail to make it appear like the original?

You sails should have the M letter with the number 25 under the M. They are iron-on lettering. You can order them from www.sailcare.com. I had the exact same problem as you with the lettering missing. Click the link below to see my boat, an '83 Mac 25.
