response to furling boom

I have a furlboom and love it. The response that suggested that you buy a "new boat with mast furling" does not know the advantages of boom furling. As far as I know mast furling has no advantages over boom furling except apparently the technology was easier to develop. Boom furling has the advantages of: 1. center of gravity when sail is down. 2. Sail can always be lowered 3. full battens 4. full roach. 5. I think that the new systems are as reliable as mast furling. It may be that mast furling is cheaper (I have not compared them) but otherwise boom furling seems to be the wqay to go). If anyone knows of advantages of mast furling over boom furling I would like to know them.

IN-BOOM

I JUST PURCHASE THE HIGH-LOW REEFER. I'LL LET YOU KNOW ABOUT MORE WHEN IT'S INSTALLED. I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU TO BE MINDFULL OF THE PRODUCTS THAT ARE OUT THERE. THE MORE COMPLEX THE BETTER THE CHANCE OF BREAK-DOWN. HIGH-LOW IS SIMPLE. GIVE IT A GOOD LOOK. I LOOKED AT ALL FOR OVER 2 YEARS. IN-BOOM FURLERING SYSTEM IS THE WAY TO GO. GOOD LUCK
