Ok here goes, I took my 26.5 out this weekend and I noticed a problem. One of the little plastic guides that goes into the mast that guides the sail up the mast when raising it has come out. No big deal right? Well it seams that the area that this piece would normally go when the sail is up is broke on the mast. There is now a larger gap in the slide so the clip will not stay in. Is there a way to repair the mast in theis area. I also noticed a small knob which fits into this slot that holds the other guides in place. Could I loosen this knob and slide the other clips down so that I can get the clip thats out to go into the very lower section of the mast below the damaged area. If anyone has any Ideas on either how to fix the mast or to keep this other clip in the mast. Please let me know.

I own a 26.5 and can't quite picture your problem. The sail slugs fit into an enlarged groove and are then held in place above this opening by a cotter pin (yours uses a knurled knob to tension a slide?). Are you saying your sail groove is torn open above the insertion opening? Have a pic?
