Have a 1980 C25. I noticed the other day that the bolt that attaches the eye bracket for the main sheet to the aft end of the boom is loose. Trying to tighten it had no effect. Is this bolt SUPPOSED to be tight? If so, it must have a nut on the inside of the boom end cap? Looks like the cap would be easy to remove to allow tightening of the bolt. (Please pardon my lack of proper terminology for these parts...) Thanks, Jack

Removing end cap

The end cap is easy to remove if the screws are not frozen by corrosion. The bolt holding the metal mainsheet attachment strap was never very tight on my C25. This allowed the strap to rotate when the boom swings from one side to the other. But if it is loose enough to fall out, then you must access the inside.
