I have some pretty good pictures of end-boom sheeting to the bridgedeck. But I think your '83 has the traveler on the coach roof, right?

I rigged my Hunter 31 main sail sheet from the boom to a block on the boom aft then to a block on the mast then through a clutch in the cockpit then through a cam cleat.

Mid-boom sheeting

Need a photo (or link) showing the main sheet rigged through the blocks from boom to mainsheet traveler for '83 Hunter 30.

Exactly what that looks like depends on how much purchase you want. It's mid-boom sheeting with the traveler on the cabintop. Dalliance, an '82 H30, has three boom bails, one mast bail, a deck block, and deck organizers to route lines back to the cockpit. Here are two photos (sorry, best I could find) showing the old mainsheet with 4:1 purchase and the new mainsheet with 6:1 purchase added last summer when I replaced most of the running rigging & hardware.
4:1 purchase -- 2006 Ugly Duckling photo -- Fiddle block at the traveler, single blocks at the fore & aft boom bails, line terminated at the middle boom bail. Line runs forward horizontally to a block at the mast bail, then down to the deck block.
6:1 purchase -- 2010 New Hardware photo (unfortunately mostly hidden by the sail cover) -- Triple block at the traveler, single blocks at fore & aft boom bails, single block with becket at the middle boom bail. Termination is at the becket. Line runs foreward diagonally to a stand-up deck block in order to clear the rigid vang, so the mast bail is no longer used.
This is just two of MANY possible configurations. The Harken catalog has some good diagrams in the front which may be helpful too. Though all my new hardware, except for the winches, is from Garhauer.

Mainsheet Rigging

Mine on the 34 is a lot like Dalliance has..and pretty standard. Some folks lead the control end to the mast and back to the cockpit.. The previous owner installed this modified system for racing.
