Main sheet handling

Has anybody else thought of a better placement for the mainsheet? I have 1997 26 that has had a wheel added to it by the first owner. I love the wheel but having to adjust the mainsheet by reaching around and bending to get it to release is a pain. There are alot of creative folks on this site, so I thought somewne else may have played around with this. Thanks, Tom

mainsheet placement

when the boat is sailing i drive from the leeward side and sit in front of the wheel where i can see sail trim and reach the sheets and control lines. maybe this is because i go from tiller to wheel often but it is my prefered position . try it out you may like it.
