Does your table storage not have holes for the wine bottles? That is how it was originally designed. But I buy the cheap 1.5L bottles and they do not fit. Sorry but I have no pictures of the inside of my table. On a recent cruise from Lake Erie to Florida we put anything in there that would fit.

I did modify my table so that I can move it away from the mast. Makes it much easier to step the mast and to work in the bilge.

Really?! You mean you are looking down at the salon sole or bilge cover? Mine has a large box more than 12" deep. It goes from just behind the aft-most leg almost to the mast. Most of the comparment has a false floor with holes the size of .75 liter wine bottles, three or four I think. I don't know where the strength of the table would come from except for that box. Every H37C I have known had that box. Some owners have removed the table and put a fold down on the forward starboard salon bulkhead.

P.S. Does your table look like these?

No holes for bottles

Ed,

My table looks just like yours, but when I open the lid on mine there are four equal sized bins - no holes for bottles. I can get about 3 to 4 bottles per bin, depending on size and shape. And when the bottles are empty (boo hoo) I can put other stuff in there. Actually, we usually have one of the bins alotted to napkins, salt, pepper & other table setting stuff. I, like you, made the table removable without unstepping the mast. We thought about going to a bulkhead mounted version (with the table out of the way, there is almost enough room for a square dance down there) but we really enjoy being able to seat six people for supper.

ours is in the living room at home. Makes an interesting conversation piece and reminds me to go sailing.

My '81 has the bins under the lid as described but no round bottle holders. My table also circles the mast and cannot be removed without pulling the stick. How have others modified the table to circumvent this issue?
