Put my 94 26 in the water. memory loss is signifigant at my age! Where does the grommet at the tack of the sail attach? to the boom or to the mast. I've either lost a piece or I just don't see it. surely it dosen't attach to the reefing hooks?

if it's the same as my 98 240

It attaches to the boom. There is a cotter pin on a tether hanging from the boom. The pin slides through a plastic fitting with the sail grommet in the center.

Sail Tack

It attaches to the goose neck with a shackle type connections. THere is a hole at the top of the goose neck the it attaches to.

John, Mine also attaches with a shackle type

connector between the ram horn asembly. I'll go out to the shop in the morning and make sure I'm right and repost if I'm wrong. Damn, I hate to be wrong, but it is simply because my wife never forgets the date and item I failed on. FOREVER! She'll repost if neccesory. Ray S/V Speedy

Anyone got a picture?

Mine must be set up wrong--I just put the tack on one hook of the ram's horn, leaving the other for the single reef cringle. That's how the boat ('95 H26) was set up when I bought it last summer.
