Beneteau first 24 larochelle
Hi community, can some one please offer some advice. I have just brought a First 24. She is a lovely boat with a lot of sails in her armory. However there is no main sail. I can order a new one not too expensive, but I do not know what fitting system to the main. Having read some stuff I take it, it is by slug but which one. Thanks for reading if you know please let on.

Since your getting a new main I'd have the sail maker come out and recommend the best slides. They should be coming out and measuring for the sail anyway.

Agree, sails are not off the rack, how many batons, full or half? Reef points? Race number? Etc

A First 24 uses a Z-spars Z230 mast section. That mast uses a 8MM bolt rope, or round 8mm slugs.

It alos useds a Z160 boom, again 8MM bolt rope or (even better) loose footed with a velcro clew strap.
