shouldn't be needed

I've used a little spray silicone. Not sure if it helps much. If you're having trouble w/ raising sail, make sure slides & mast track are clean & that you have the right size slugs for the mast track. Slugs could be worn out.

Mclube Sailkote

Mclube Sailkote - Clean the track well with a solvent and soft cloth. Spray it in trying to hit the inside of the track where the slugs contact. I used a piece of cardboard folded into a "T" to deflect the spray.Spray the slugs as you bend them into the track. it made a HUGE difference for me.

another vote for Mclube

Hi dan - I'm with Rob; I use that Mclube stuff for lots of things, but especially for the sail slides! Good to keep a can aboard for a myriad of uses, such as freeing tight turnbuckles, blocks, travellers, etc. Best, Trevor
