I have just partially rigged my 1969 daysailer. Installed the boom and after much ado, (not familiar with lines halyards etc.) believe the traveler at stern is set okay. Line runs from port to starboard thru each pulley and has a stop knot at ech end. The main sheet?? runs thru one pulley with the other half of pulley on traveler line. Then the main sheet goes thru a pulley at mid ship down to the guide and jam cleat. There is hanging from the boom a block and tackle (for better description, sorry) that I cannot find anything for it to attach to. It is right above the middle of the centerboard housing, and lines up below with the jib sheet jam/cleats. What is this for? Have seen it in one of the photos but that boat did not seem to have the rear traveler set up! Thanks from Mr. New Guy!!!!
