Hello everyone. As the season dies down I start to ponder the things that need upgradeing. The first on my list, a new main sail or at least one in real good shape. Any suggestions on finding one on a budget? -S-

Main Sail

There are plenty of sail makers on the internet, prices for cruising sails for my Mac 25 have seemed to range from about $425 on the low end for a cruising sail with standard battens, luff slugs, one reef point to about $600. Offshore sails seem to be about $600 to $800. If you are sailing the great lakes, you might be needing an off-shore sail, since on your other post you mentioned you thought that your main was toast. I'm sure the 26D has a slightly different sail plan than my Mac 25, so you might wind up spending a little more.

FX Sails

I ordered a new mainsail from the guys at FX sails. I am very pleased with the results. Great service and a wonderful product. Call and visit with them before you order one any where else. I researched alot before getting mine, checked prices on the net, called different sail lofts and asked lots of questions. The best route for me was FX sails. By the way, I have an old M25 Mainsail for sale! Its old and stained and has been repaired, but it still works. Good Luck
