Sail for Sail,
First this would probably be of interest only to Pacific NW (Puget Sound)
sailors since this main is fully battened and I'd have to have to take the
battens out to ship it (but I guess that isn't a big deal). Or I guess my
sailmaker has shipped these things in large tubes. Anyway, it was designed
for the standard, original spars.
The sail was built by a loft in Vancouver, B.C. - Leitch-McBride Sails Ltd.
It is in nearly new condition as it has been used very little. I had a new
set of sails made for the boat by Hasse of Port Townsend Sails and I had her
loft go over this sail and reinforce it and leather it for offshore work.
One thing, I would have to take the sail slugs since I have a "strong track"
on my mast and the slugs are designed only for that system and I don't want
let them go (or would charge extra, but if you don't have a strong track
they'd be useless anyway). Getting new slugs sewn on shouldn't be terribly
hard or expensive, basically some webbing holding the slugs in place.
I was going to keep it as a spare, but having just repowered I am selling
off some extras to help with the expenses, plus I want to get some new
canvas made.
I don't have a price set, if you are interested let's talk offline:
