Strange things you see!

Yesterday I installed a Blue Seas main AC panel in a boat. This is what it replaced. Does show creativity. It was in the bilge.

Wow! I would not try this. Yes very creative... a mistake waiting to happen. Blue Sea Systems makes a single flush mount panel. Their Part number: 8072 - A-Series Single Toggle. About $21.00 Plus Shipping if ordered directly from Blue Sea Systems.

It is for the AC main so I installed a Blue Seas 8029. Double pole main as required with one additional 15 amp breaker for the outlets.

The original "breaker in a candy box" was a 30 amp but was protecting a 15 amp circuit.

There are 2 outlets, the first a GCFI. That is the entire AC system. I replaced the shorepower inlet as well with a 30 amp Marinco.

It looks like he didn't touch the DC system, it is well done.
