The general vote here seems to think a supervised solo trip is best, and with the economy in shambles it is all she afford, for all those sailors who think it's not wise,
thats why my buddy from up Miami way with much more skills than me will go along and remember although our plans are to go due south and not hug the coast and lose time we all grew up on Florida Bay and know channel currents well, I do agree that not know this vessel is risky, but thats why I hauled it ( she wanted to leave the day she bought it in it's slip ) with a nasty NW wind.....Mom said "No" by leaving at first light
we hope she has all day to get comfortable with her boat while Dad has a Mojito or two
