My Magma propane is spewing black smoke and it gets all over the food. I am going to dismantle it and try cleaning everything I can. Just wondered if anyone else had this problem and might save me some work.
home grill. It needed a good cleaning. The black smoke was carbon black from a very poor flame. Check the air flow paths and the burner holes. You should have a nearly blue flame with very little yellow. After a time they are irredeemable and need a new burner assembly.
Ross, HELLO! Tim is engaging in sarcastic repartee...
...as indicated by the strategic smiley face.(Biggest laugh I've had on this site since that fellow, years ago, asked what was causing the funny taste in his holding tank.)
Seems my problem was a spider who made a home in my Venturi tube. It was clogged with leaves. what amazes me was that the spider was alive and still in the tube even after I had used the grill. I guess they don't mind breathing propane.
