Magic Lights

I just bought a 2011 Beneteau 34 and may have magic lights. There are LED lights at the foot of the companionway and under the helm seat, and an amber light in the galley that are always on, even when shore power is disconnected and the batteries are turned off. They must be wired directly off the batteries. Is this a safety feature to always light the boat, or do I have magic lights requiring no power for illumination?

Thanks, it's great to join the Beneteau community.

We have similar lights on our 37. There should be a key fob style remote to turn them on and off. And yes they are wired directly to the house battery (through a fuse). If you can't find the remote and want to turn off the lights, the remote receiver and fuse on ours are in the compartment behind the main battery switches. It's the black box toward the right of the attached.

Looked interesting, in checking for my boat I noted that you can buy a remote and program it to your receiver.

Thank you for taking the time to respond with photos. The owner had lost the companionway keys, and I suspect the FOB went along with it. I will try to obtain a new fob and program it.
