magic ezy is a great product, but I've only used it on a Mac, so can't help you as far a color match. I did have similar concerns of color on my Mac also, and it's sure something they could improve on. Also an fyi, get it smoothed out before it dries, as it's hard as a rock when cured and you will not be able to sand it worth a hoot. :)

I used some on my Mac on some dings down below out of the weather. I'd like to use it on a couple of Bella's hairline cracks in nonskid areas.

I have used it to good effect, originally when I used it you had to order from Australia...now available over here.

They have additional products which are also good.

Marine chandleries have tint kits for fiberglass repairs. I think this product is some variety of gel coat. Trying mixing a few batches until you get as close as you can. Write down the formula as you test it. I'm not sure about this system but with gel coat kits you can mix the color before adding the catalyst. You'll notice the Oyster white has some yellow hue (Use a very small amount of red tint to increase). The Matterhorn has grey or maybe even a small amount of blue hue. After you get the color as close as possible. You can use grey or black to adjust the brightness.
Even if you used the exact color that was used when the boat was built - it wouldn't match the weathered color you have now. Fiberglass guys do this and are judged on the ability to match surrounding color. It's a bit artwork but a little practice can help a great deal. Google a color wheel.

I can't say about the product Magicez. Gel coat repair kits stay the same color after they set. They will likely lose translucency. Gel coat isn't very translucent to begin with.

Pay attention to the angle of the light. Uncured gelcoat tends to be more reflective than cured gelcoat, and can trick you into thinking that it's too light. As well, make sure you take off any wax or polish in the area your touching prior to colour matching, and of course take it off the area being repaired first.
