Finally made it into Marina Del Ray in Madisonville, LA yesterday. Tried monday when the winds died down but water was too high. The marina fared well as all docks are intact and only saw four powerboats sunk. Some boats with minor damage, but most of the boat damage was to sails that were left on boats, go figure! Buildings and boats stored on land did not fare so well as most of the boats stored on land are gone or scattered throughout the marsh. Reinstalled the solar panels on my boat to keep the batteries charged and left for Baton Rouge due to the violence and crime erupting there. Marina management was onsite and starting to cleanup. Marina has a hugh deisel generator which they were working on to restore some power. We were very lucky at Marina Del Ray with a storm surge of 10-12' and winds of 117 kts. Any body need information about the marina let me know as I'll probably be heading back Saturday. Wish everyone the best.
