Well. I made it to catalina. Got here about 830 . Motored the whole way , when was about 8 to 10 knots and right on the nose . Ilearn not to top of the gas tank, but to allow enough room for heeling otherwise the gas leaks out the vent hole and starves the motor and the motor stalls. I'll postvids and pictures tomorrow. Got hey moring for tonight however I will likely be bumped in the morning to discuss oh beach . On wednesday all bets are off. As where now I am dog tired and am going to go to sleep.

We motored back from San Diego Monday in calm conditions until about off Huntington Beach where it picked up a lot off our port beam, so it would have been on your nose. Sounds like Tuesday was the same. Hope you luck out on a mooring. If not, and you don't have your 400' of rode, you can always go over to Hen Rock or one of the other coves near Whites and get a mooring or anchor in good conditions in 30-40 feet. You should be able to see the Avalon show from there. Just make sure kelp doesn't foul your flukes. Have a great time! We watched fireworks off Mission Bay on our race to San Diego from Long Beach Friday. Which boat did you take over?

I'm anchored at Descanso beach. A little rolly during the day but settles down at night. No guarantee for tomorrow. Could end up at Hamilton bay. Bay is a generous description. Have tickets for dinner and USC Marching concert and view of fireworks from casino. Should be fun.
Rick, I have the C27.
