Any one out there have any experience with a Mack Pack on a H410 or any boat with a large roach main sail? I've been messing with my lazy jacks all season and am pretty tired of having the main all over the cockpit etc. I've looked at the Doyle Stack pack and think its pretty ugly, plus I don't really want to buy new sails. Any other sail pack systems out there that don't cost an arm and leg? Bryce S/V Spellbinder H410

I have a Dutchman system on my boat. It's not perfect, I still have to shake out the sail a bit after I lower it, but it does a nice job of keeping the sail on the boom. It also makes reefing a lot easier.

Not exactly a large roach, but

my 37c has full battens, and the mackpack I installed is a real godsend. Relatively inexpensive (~500 $ , only half a boat unit !!), and failry easy to install. No spillage, and quick (1-2 minutes) to drop sail and zip sail cover.

Pete has sold me. . .

but I also have an H37C. It does not have the large mainsail that you carry on the H410. Have you talked to Mack Sails at 1-800-428-1384? Or checked their site: http://www.macksails.com/? Let us know what they say about use with a large roach mainsail.
