Machine screw for hand rails

Hello all
On my oday 28 hand rails are secured with bolts that go from inside rails into the the outside rails thus are pretty long and I can’t find them anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction? They about 5” long ( machine screw with Philips head on one side and lock but on the other.

Charts show 1/4 minimum diameter for 5”” long, the ones I removed were much skinnier, is it supposed to be 1/4”?

You'll have to measure the ones you have.

Go with the "skinny" ones. 1/4 is too big.
