Hi WhiteDown,
glad to meet you. I am currently out of the water but keep my mac down in Glasson, Portanenna marina if that's spelled right. Where are you based at? Are you still in the water? I bought the boat a year ago and this was my first season. I'm still getting the hang of it but could use some more practice. I also want to do some mods on the boat to make it easier to single hand. Roller furling would be great and slugs for the mainsail. Would like to get new sails for next season but will have to see how it goes. The boat is bare minimum so will need to do or redo what was done to get it setup the way i like. I'm assuming you are on one of the midland lakes is this correct.

Hi scmcgraw good to hear from you. No I'm based out of Poolbeg on the Liffey in Dublin I mostly sail in Dublin bay. I only got my boat last October and am also still getting the hang of it. I'm out for the winter too I stayed in all last winter and believe me it was cold but worth it. I've met another mac owner here in Dublin out of dun laghaire and be has his dived for solo sailing. He has wonderful mods for single handed reefing and docking as well as mods to his steering. Where is glasson? Feel free to ring me on 0872193133 anytime I wouldn't mind taking a spin down to you to discuss sometime. Would love to set up a mac association here in Ireland. Good luck hope to hear from you soon.

Hi scmcgraw. I'm in the Liffey in Dublin. I posted a reply to you some time ago on the thread "mac sailors in ireland" don't know if you saw it. Wasn't sure if I had sited you correctly etc. so I've sent this message more directly to you I think. Would love to have a chat to you in person I left my number on the thread if you want to chat. All the best.
