Hi Folks,
I went to the Fleet 77 meeting in Fort Walton Beach. This is a club of Catalina 22 owners. It's kind of cool. They race. They cruise. And they help each other work on boats.

It would be cool to have a Mac owners club. I'm sure some exist somewhere. Is anyone interested in this?

My particular interest would be one in Northwest Florida as it would be hard for me to attend regular meetings in California. But maybe there are enough of us here.

Thanks, Jerry

This one is even further away for you but I mention it to let you and others know that there are Mac Clubs out there. We have one in the PNW called MacGregor Yacht Club of British Columbia, (web site MYCBC.CA), we also do regattas, cruises and help each other out. Clubs are cool and a great way for newbies to learn and meet like sailors!
So how many other Mac clubs exist out there! Make yourselves known!

This one is also too far for you Jerry, but in the interest of letting everyone know...
Venture Yacht Club, in San Diego. I think originally this club was for Venture sailboats, but today anyone with a trailerable sailboat is welcome. I think most of the members have Macgregors though.

Here's their web site:

I've seen a lot of Macs in the Pensacola area, on Santa Rosa Sound, Big Lagoon and Perdido Bay, but I wouldn't know how to contact them to get them organized.
