Tongue weight

The tongue weight is supposed to be 10% of your trailer total weight. Bill

Consider This TOO.....

The tongue weight will vary depending on the ENGINE size on back of the BOAT !! On my former boat, a 1992 26S, I trailered with no problems with the engine attached, or the engine laying in the back of the PICK UP. The 26S trailers well...one has to watch staying within your LANE travelling at 60 though...Staying Alert isnt an OPTION, its REQUIRED !Happy Sailing !!

Mac26s trailer info

The dry boat and trailer is about 3,000 lbs. Add about 100 for a motor and 300+ for other gear and you are up to about 3400 lbs. That is about 340lbs tongue weight.Fair winds,Tom

He bought it BACK after my purchase of a Mac26-X, and may still have it for sale. IT WAS A VERY CLEAN BOAT, and trailer and all hardware in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
